I hope I will pull through...

人生有幾多次機會,人生有幾多個十年,最緊要活得痛快!- 柴九

It means, "How many chances does one get in his lifetime? How many 10 years do you have in your lifetime? The most important thing is to live life to the fullest." I am sure that many people know about this Chinese phrase, which is popularised by one of the best TVB dramas (I mean it; it's your own loss if you don't watch it) ever produced, Rosy Business.

Chai Gau did not have many 10 years. In fact, he only lived to see 3 10-years. However, he definitely did live life to the fullest. I am touched, not because he did not live to see his 4th 10-years, but because of his zeal, his zest for life. He said that phrase with so much conviction that I am ashamed (though I must give Wayne Lai the props for bringing Chai Gau to life) of myself, and what I have achieved.

If I die right now, I would not have achieved anything note-worthy. People would not set up a tablet just to honour me and my contributions. People have done it for Chai Gau, because Chai Gau did it. He worked his way up the social ladder - from a coolie, a lowly worker at Hing Fung Nin, Hing Fung Nin's Sam Cheung Gwai (3rd Manager), Sa Ga Bong's 3rd boss, Sa Ga Bong's head and a Toi Ping Tin Gwok official. Hell, he even became a death-row criminal. He finally fulfilled his wish of sending back rice to his famine-stricken hometown after all these 25 episodes of intense drama. Chai Gau has indeed, led a life that not many people would want, but a very happening life that many would envy. He had absolutely NO REGRETS (which is coincidentally, the name for Rosy Business 2).

And what have I achieved in my 18 years on this Earth? What is my wish? What is my goal? I want to work in Changi Airport, but this is not possible without getting past those dreaded A-levels papers. It is not possible if I don't at least straight Bs for my A-levels. And, it is not possible if I don't get to university. The one big sin that I've committed and the one big obstacle that I'm creating for myself is - SLOTH.

Hail Mary, full of grace
the Lord is with you
Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus
Holy Mary, mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our deaths

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit
As it was in the beginning
Is now and ever shall be
World without end
Amen

I seek forgiveness for my foolish ways. Please lend me Your guiding hand and lead me out of this tunnel of darkness.

14 papers, and 42 more days to brush up on everything. Please tell me that it's possible. =( Sorry, I had to erase my name and index number. Some RV teachers or worse, Cambridge examiners, may be lurking around...

Prelims was a disaster!

0

Prelims finally ended today, but the real battle only comes in about I-dunno-how-many-days. I seriously need a countdown timer to remind me of how much time I still have. As expected, most of the prelim papers (in fact all) were hard; it’s either that or I didn’t prepare adequately enough for it. Some of the questions were doable, but I just simply had no time to do it, which is really quite a pity. I think I need proper time management.

14th September 2010 (Tuesday)
Maths paper 1 was horrible. My dear Maths teacher said that it was doable, but apparently, Pontianak told her classes that it was going to be hard. =X I’m going to fail Maths again haiz… =( After that, it was Econs Paper 1 was horrible too! I failed my last case-study, and I think I’m going to fail it this time round as well. =’( After 3 hours of Maths and 2 hours 15 minutes of Econs, I was really tired...

15th September 2010 (Wendesday)
Pontianak told her class that Maths paper 2 would be easier, but I don’t think that’s the case. I think it’s more difficult leh. Shit. I think I’m really very screwed for Maths. Statistics was tough, really though. Even the normal A-Level questions in the TYS aren’t that tough. =( Screw Maths.
Biology Paper 2 was also super screwed-up. Thanks to a certain somebody huh… I couldn’t finish lor. Sorry Mdm Sim. I think I’m going to disappoint you again. =’(

16th September 2010 (Thursday)
Chemistry paper 3 was hard, really hard. I think I have chosen the wrong question to do, because I thought I knew how to do a question by glancing through the questions, but I realised I didn’t know how to do the last few parts of the questions. So wasted… =( And I realise I suck at balancing equations even though I have gotten the reactants and products right. Hmph. =( As usual, no time to finish. I think I can seriously go and bang my head on the wall lor. T_T

17th September 2010 (Friday)
Econs paper 2 was totally screwed as well. I think I chose to do the wrong question, again. -.-‘’’ I didn’t know how and what to write after a while. Oh man, I seriously hope I won’t fail Econs!! T_T

21st September 2010 (Tuesday)
Haiz, Biology paper 3 was screwed too. I mixed up a lot of things and don’t know how to do many questions as well. I screwed planning as well. =( Sorry Mdm Sim! >.< Chemistry paper 2 was surprisingly ok to me, but I don’t know how to do the first question (what the…) and screwed my planning. >.< As usual, I can go and bang my head for making stupid careless mistakes. However, I saw Cute One and Nice One today, so they made my day! =D 22nd September 2010(Wednesday)
Chemistry paper 1 was disastrous, because I had no time to think properly, since we have to do 40 questions in 1 hour. How come we are given only 1 hour to do Chemistry when we get 1hour 15 minutes to do the same number of questions for Biology and Physics (though I don’t take Physics)?! I’m ready to bet that after I leave school, they will extend the paper 1 for Chemistry by another 15 minutes. 15 minutes can really make a lot of difference to me. Oh well… Just my luck. =(

23rd September 2010 (Thursday)
Today was the last paper, and I think I screwed it up sian. The paper itself was so wordy until I see until "ngan fa zo"! I had to shake my head because the words were totally floating all over the place (to me lah). I really have nothing to say already…

I really have nothing much to say anymore. I hope my prelim results will push me to study harder for my A-Levels, which I’m really very scared of. I have no time anymore. I’m tired, but I cannot rest until 2nd December 2010.

Lyrics for No Regrets

AHHH!!! Why must they release the lyrics for the theme song of No Regrets bit by bit?!?! This is really killing me! I'm really going to go crazy sia! >.< I can't wait to watch No Regrets and hear its theme song, which I think will really be very good. But the lyrics are kind of depressing. But still, Sheren Tang and Wayne Lai for the win! Go, Gau Gu Leong and Lau Sing! <333 Below are some of the lyrics for No Regret's theme song, which is titled after it's Chinese title,

The lyrics are really good, though it sounds really, really very sad. I think No Regrets will be a sad drama. ='( I especially like the 2nd quote. It really carries the meaning of no regrets. 歌詞真係勁正, 真係好期待呀! The Hong Kong forum people are going crazy. So am I. Gau Gu Leong and Lau Sing! <3

Letter from Hong Kong

0

My GP papers are screwed, like really. T_T I spent quite a lot of time choosing the question to write on, and when I finally settled on the question, I think I wrote out of point. Haiz... And paper 2 wasn't much better. There goes my vocabulary and my AQ. To think I'm not even good at answering questions to the point. Shit. =(

But the good thing is, I finally received a letter from my cousin in Hong Kong!! ^^ And OH MY GOODNESS MEEEEEE~! She actually participated in the filming of No Regrets (as a calefare though xD) and saw Sheren Tang leh! WHAT THE FREEEEEEAAAAAAAKKKKKK! I really, really, really want to see Sheren Tang (or least TVB artistes that I like) in person. Cousin said that Sheren is really pretty in real life (YAY! ^^ Leng lui! =D) and her acting is really good (which I totally agree! =P). However, it's really a whole new experience to be able to see the artistes film scenes of the drama right in front of your eyes. Although I'm not interested in Singapore artistes and their dramas at all, but given Singapore's small size, I have yet to see artistes film their scenes before. Anyway, Cousin really makes me feel like going to Hong Kong even more LOL! ^^ Next time I shall go and stalk artistes and be TVB's calefare too! =D

Totally love this page of her letter the most! ^^ Eh, next time you want to be calefare, bring me along ah! =D

Stamps from Hong Kong are pretty. They glow in the dark. =3
