Sheren Tang, yellow crystals and Poopy rock!

I'm really sorry for not posting for so many days. That's because I haven't been using the computer for the last few weeks! o.O''' I think this is the longest I've stayed away from the laptop, with the exception of examination periods.

I shall refrain from commenting on today's CIP, though I really don't feel like continuing it next week. I reach home at 9.30 pm almost every Friday because of band and I still have to wake up so early the next day to reach Taman Jurong Community Centre at 8 am. I don't have time to do my work and have not enough sleep. I think I will not do anymore CIP projects after this since I will still be able to get my RV Big Heart Award, thanks to the slew of CIP projects I did over the holidays...

Anyway, I'm really so pissed with myself as I haven't been doing any constructive work despite not using the laptop. Dramas always distract me, LIKE ALWAYS!!! @_@ I swore that I would concentrate on my school work after I finished watching Rosy Business, but ahem, Channel U had to rebroadcast La Femme Desperado and I just happened to see it while switching on the TV to watch Cruel Temptation, so lala, there goes my resolution. -.-''' Tsk. That's the problem with me. I watch almost any dramas with Sheren Tang inside. Moreover, I totally adore seeing Sheren and Michael Tse together, so I can't afford to pass this drama up. Hope it'll be the last time though. =X I really need a lot of self-discipline. If only I could be like somebody... ._.

La Femme Desperado is really one hell of a good drama. Too bad I didn't really watch it when it was broadcasted on Channel U a few years back, but I did watch a bit here and there to know how great Sheren Tang is! =D Haha, I'm still on a 四奶奶 high! ^^ Luckily they rebroadcasted it on Channel U! =D

La Femme Desperado is Sheren's and Michael's drama! ^^ Sheren and Michael! <3

Anyway, here are some pictures taken over the week!

Pictures of the pretty yellow crystals I made during this week's Chemistry practical! OK, my pictures don't do justice to my poisonous crystals. -.-''' But I swear they were really pretty! *bling bling*

Hai Wei's and my dessert treat at Lot 1's Wan Chai. Haha, the desserts at Wan Chai seriously rocks! 龙眼杏仁豆腐,冰鸳鸯咖啡奶茶,合桃香糊 totally rock, and I really mean it! ^^

I finally bought my FreshKon ColorsFusion lenses. I don't think I will wear them to school since I don't want to scare any teachers, but that will also depend on the circumstances. I wanted to get the FreshKon Mosaic lenses, but they're really very expensive! Seriously, Mosaic triumphs ColorsFusion, but I think my mum will disown me if she finds out that I'm been spending so much money on contact lenses. I guess I shall just keep 3 pairs... SHINee is coming to Lot 1 tomorrow! I'm not really a fan of them. In fact, I'm not really a fan of these Korean bands, but I don't deny that many of these bands have nice songs. Should I go? o.O'''

Rosy Business high

Haha, I'm still on a Rosy Business high, so I shall just spam anything Rosy Business related here. Anyway, I don't think I'll update as much once school reopens, which is only in about 2 days?! Oh man, I still haven't completed my homework leh! >.< School life is boring, and I do want to keep my Rosy Business posts visible on the main page as long as possible. I'm still pissed that Rosy Business only hit 47 points, which EXCLUDED the viewers who were watching it through the high-definition channel, whereas Beyond the Realm of Conscience (BTROC) hit 50 points because TVB took into account the viewers who watched it through the high-definition channel. -.-''' I'm ready to bet $100 that if TVB had taken into account the viewers who watched Rosy Business through the high-definition channel, it would have become the HIGHEST-RATED television drama in Hong Kong, even beating Moonlight Resonance's and Dae Jang Geum's records. I love Rosy Business because although it wasn't as hyped-up, as heavily promoted as BTROC, and boasting only a "normal" (by normal I mean the cast members aren't exactly those A-list stars like Kevin Cheng and Charmaine Sheh *rolls eyes*) cast with the exception of Sheren Tang and Wayne Lai, it still managed to achieve such ratings. It has won the hearts of people in Hong Kong with its storyline and the passionate performances of the cast members. To be really honest, I've never seen such fiery passion being portrayed in a TVB drama in such a long, long time. From the supporting to the lead roles, from the backstage to the people in front of the cameras themselves, I am confident to say that everybody gave their all, performed their best for this drama, which made it all so memorable. =) It wasn't expected to be a success, but it did. And when it did, it came so darn close to becoming the best-rated drama in Hong Kong.

I've watched TVB's 42nd Gala celebrations a few days ago. Overall, it was not bad. The songs and dance segments of the celebrations were very good! Haha, that's why I love Cantonese songs! xD Hacken Lee sang the theme songs of TVB dramas from 1967 onwards, and they sounded really very nice. But the last part was quite lame leh... They were totally wasting food. -.-''' I know why Ever Star said that Sheren Tang led from start to finish! ^^ During the start, she was the one, together with Bowie Lam and Moses Chan, leading the group of TVB artistes into TVB City, dressed in her War and Beauty costume. Haha, that goes to show that War and Beauty is still very well remembered by the Hong Kong people. I myself deem it as one of the best TVB dramas of the 21st century. =D After that, she was the one leading 20 over TVB siu sangs (male artistes) in the drumming performance, which I think was quite cool, although I don't fancy her shouting. ._. Pierre Ngo (the one who played the unfilial son in Rosy Business) can sing really well too! ^^ Lastly, Sheren was the one singing a duet with Wayne, which was aww... Both of them sounded really sweet! And yes yes, I love the way they look at each other! There's really soooo much chemistry between the two of them! <3

42nd TVB Gala celebrations - Part A
42nd TVB Gala celebrations - Part B
42nd TVB Gala celebrations - Part C

Sheren Tang and Moses Chan. Lol, I love this pair in War and Beauty. But haha, I was also happy that Maggie Cheung was paired up with Moses Chan. xD

Sheren in her War and Beauty costume! =D I totally miss her! ^^ She looks really very nice in ancient costumes, especially in Qing dynasty costumes. Maybe that's because I haven't seen her in Tang dynasty costumes before. o.O'''

Wayne and Sheren, my favourite on-screen couple! \*^o^*/

Sheren in her Rosy Business costume! =D Haha, she had to walk on the drums while the siu sangs were drumming away! ^^

Sheren and Wayne singing their duet! I think their duet was the best among the rest! =D

Video of Sheren and Wayne singing their duet. Haha, I want Sheren and Wayne to sing the theme song for Rosy Business II - Righteous Sea of Heroic Love leh! =D They have already proven that they can sing darn well! And I think the impact will be greater if both of them sing the theme song. Oh, the theme song must be really grand as well! Hopefully the TVB executives can consider this...

Below is the theme song for Rosy Business. Haha, don't worry about this video being taken down. It was uploaded by TVB itself. -.-''' Anyway, Red Butterfly is sung by Ron Ng, whom I'm really starting to like after seeing him in On the First Beat and Rosy Business. xD Actually, I didn't expect the theme song to be like this. I was expecting something more grand, but then again, I felt really damn relaxed when I listened to this. Ron has a very nice voice! xD

Below are the promotional trailers used for Rosy Business. It's really very intense! ^^ I totally didn't regret watching Rosy Business at all! =D

Not to mention that Rosy Business was the biggest winner at the 42nd TVB Anniversary Awards... They were definitely very deserving of the awards! Many people have agreed that the 2009 results was the fairest TVB had been in many years, and they were genuinely happy for the Rosy Business cast, especially for Sheren. There was even a petition signed by over 3000 people for Sheren to get her Best Actress Award, which she has been ROBBED of 2 times. The audiences totally cheered when she was announced as the winner of the Best Actress Award. Who cares if her acceptance speech was very long and messy? We all can tell that she was really very happy to receive the award after 5 years of waiting. We love you very much, Sheren! =D

2009 TVB's TV King and Queen! Long live Chai Gau and 4th Mistress! =D

2009 TVB Best Drama of the Year: Rosy Business! =D Sheren said that it was really a pleasant surprise that all the female cast members of Rosy Business wore white and the guys wore black. They didn't plan this beforehand. xD

Lifetime Achievement Award goes to... Lee Tim-shing, the producer of Rosy Business! TV King and Queen love him very much! <3

TVB Weekly also printed an issue about the 42nd TVB Anniversary Awards. Credits go to Ever Star for the pictures. I don't even know where to buy TVB Weekly from lah... T_T

Cover of the 3 biggest winners - Tavia Yeung, Wayne Lai and Sheren Tang. Haha, I think Tavia is a bit extra here, but heck, I love her! ^^

TV King Wayne Lai! ^^ Chai Gau rocks! =D

TV Queen Sheren Tang! ^^ 4th Mistress rocks! =D

Best Supporting Actress Susan Tse! ^^ 1st Mistress rocks LOL! OK, I'm joking about this. 1st Mistress is really darn evil in Rosy Business, but I admire Susan! =D

Most Improved Actor Pierre Ngo! Cheung Pit-man was really the ultimate useless bummer, and he did that superbly! =D Pierre~~!! =D

Finally, more about the upcoming spin-off of Rosy Business... The trailer below was shown during the 2010 Sales Presentation last year. It is tentatively named Rosy Business II - Righteous Sea of Heroic Love. Erm, I don't really fancy the English title because it's way too long and it's like the literal translation of the Chinese title. -.-''' But yup, I'm absolutely in love with the Chinese title! It's really such a beautiful title! Hopefully they'll change the name of the English title though... This trailer just serves as a presentation and also to attract sponsors. Rosy Business used to be called Rogue Merchant / Wives and Concubines. Bet you didn't know that. xD Anyway, Sheren looks really evil in that trailer. But I think this drama has the potential to overtake Rosy Business, which I really hope is the case. It just looks too promising already. I know that hype can kill a show, so hopefully, the script-writers don't screw this drama up. From what I read in Wikipedia, Righteous Sea of Heroic Love is meant to be TVB 43rd Anniversary Grand Production drama, and filming will only start in March. This means that we won't get to see it until around October or November. If that is the case, I do hope that TVB will push back its Drama Awards to December, like how it did to Beyond the Realm of Conscience and Born Rich (for your information, the TVB Drama Awards were supposed to be held in November, but in 2009, TVB pushed it back to December so that Beyond the Realm of Conscience and Born Rich could be included inside). Anyway, if this drama does well, which I hope it will really do, Sheren and Wayne for TV Queen and King again! =D Then again, TVB is quite biased against her as she isn't under their management, so they probably only gave her the award last year to shut people up. ._.

A poll conducted in the TVB forum, showing that more people anticipated watching Righteous Sea of Heroic Love... I captured the screenshot today.

2010 Sales Presentation information about Rosy Business II - Righteous Sea of Heroic Love. I think Sheren looks quite nice here. =D

This trailer spells E-P-I-C!!! The trailer itself looked like a movie trailer as it was so intense. If there is any show that I look forward to this year, it'll have to be Righteous Sea of Heroic Love. Sheren looks very evil here as she is playing the role of an opium drug dealer. Her character is really so different from Hong Po-kei. o.O''' But haha, I think we'll see more of Sheren and Wayne! Yay! I see their chemistry in this trailer already, so I think their chemistry will even be better in the drama itself! =D They finally hugged! ^^ But I don't think the ending will be a happy one for them though... Wayne wanted to propose to Sheren but he saw her killing people right in the middle of a business meeting. He was very shocked that Sheren actually instigated Pierre to kill those who opposed her. After that, Sheren turned the gun on him and BOOMZ. T_T

Alright, I guess I'm done with my Rosy Business rampage. Tomorrow is the last episode of The Family Link Actually, The Family Link is a good drama, especially the last few episodes, which were really very touching. T_T But I don't understand why Sheren wants to divorce Michael when both of them still love and care about each other very much. ='( I totally heart-ache for the 2 of them leh. =( Haha, I think they are my next favourite on-screen couple after Sheren and Wayne! xD Tell you liao, Sheren has great chemistry with almost everybody she works with. ^^ Oh well, I want a happy ending for Sheren and Michael please, if not I'm not going to school for orientation the day after. ._.

On the Verge of Eternity - Gallen Lo

All thanks to my mum that I'm spamming Cantonese songs lately. Haha, I find them so much nicer than Chinese songs. Then again, I hardly listen to Chinese songs. Cantonese songs give me the same "feel" as Korean songs because the singers sing with more emotions. They are so much nicer. I feel so proud to be Cantonese! xD Boo to Lee Kuan Yew for banning dialects. -.-''' Anyway, I've decided to put a blog song after I discovered that my blog is relatively quiet after I stopped using imeem. Alright, imeem is downright irritating, and I think they've shut down the website. Enough of the goddamned 30-seconds preview! >.< Presenting to you, TVB's 42nd Anniversary Grand Production (台庆剧) Born Rich's theme song... On the Verge of Eternity by Gallen Lo. Gallen's voice seriously rocks! ^^

* Repeat

** Repeat

I shall high about Rosy Busines some posts later. xDDD I have a lot of things to post about that drama! ^^

2009 KBS Drama Awards winners' list

RV Big Walk was ok I guess. OK, I'm saying this because I didn't bother waking up so early to walk from the Malan Road campus to the new campus in Boon Lay. -.-''' The RV Overture actually sounded quite nice, but I think those CLDDS people are irritating. They kind of ruined the whole thing by repeating the same line over and over again. As if we don't get what they are trying to say. I think that's because the microphone was too loud, but the last part was really grand. They performed the same thing for the 50th Anniversary concert, but I didn't get to hear it as I was one of the performers, so oh well. It's my first time hearing the whole RV Overture. Suaku not? I also found out that there were a lot of changes to staff appointments when I went to the staff-room to check who my teachers are. There are now 2 Subject Heads for each discipline of Science, and apparently, OLH is one of them. o.O''' Haiz... I really hope for the best for the year ahead. It's really a very crucial year, and I want good teachers please! T_T Oh well, RV appeared in the news on Channel 8, but it was really a very short one. Well, it's so typical of RV to get a bit of publicity tsk. ._.

Anyway, without any further ado, I will post the 2009 KBS Drama Award winners here. Credits to me for compiling. Congratulations to Lee Byeong-hoon for his Daesang! =D Although I haven't watched Iris yet, but its high ratings should be credited to him. I've watched him in enough shows to know that he is capable of getting a Daesang for he is a very accomplished actor, so congratulations! Your Daesang is well-deserved! ^^ Oh, and I'm glad KBS recognised Yeo Woon-kye for her contributions to the Korean entertainment sector. She'll be dearly missed! T_T

Congratulations to Lee Byeong-hoon for his Daesang! Iris was undoubtly the biggest winner of the night! ^^

Anyway, to sum all the 3 stations' Drama Awards, I think it was a pretty fair one this time round, with the deserving ones getting what is rightfully theirs. I was kind of peeved about the 2008 MBC Drama Awards because East of Eden practically swept 90% of the awards. As much as I enjoyed East of Eden, I was very disturbed by the distribution of awards, especially with the shared Daesang between Kim Myeong-min and Song Seung-hoon. Sharing a Daesang practically erases all the prestige that the Daesang holds. Thank goodness nothing of such sort happened last year. =D Overall, I'm happy with this year's Drama Awards, including the TVB one! Seeing the people who deserved it (especially the Rosy Business cast + Tavia!) get their respective awards during the 2009 TVB Drama Awards Ceremony has rejuvenated my love interest for TVB, and I do hope that the future TVB Drama Awards ceremonies will just be as fair as the 2009 one. Well, they'd better be. I've lost respect for TVB for the way they handled things for the past few years and it was only in 2009 that they shocked fans around the world and gained back some of their lost reputation. TVB, please keep this up and I do hope to enjoy more good dramas, as much as I have enjoyed watching Rosy Business! As for MBC, KBS and SBS, I'm looking forward to more good dramas from the 3 of you! Hopefully 2010 will be a good year for both Hong Kong and South Korean dramas alike! =D

Jang Seo-hee's tranformation from a gullible and kind-hearted wife to a cruel and scheming seductress is totally THE BOMB! I really like the way she looks in the last 2 pictures! She really has the don't-you-dare-mess-with-me-or-I'll-not-let-you-off kind of look! =D

Jang Seo-hee looks damn glamorous here! Once again, congratulations on being awarded the Daesang! You really deserved it! =D 2nd Daesang already! Go go go for your 3rd Daesang! ^^ If not, take revenge on everybody else! xD You can tell that she was really very happy to receive the highest award. She nearly couldn't deliver her acceptance speech because she was too stunned and yet happy to receive her award. I listened to her speech and haha, she reminded me of Sheren Tang who was also too happy to get her Best Actress Award that she didn't know what to say. xD Both of them delivered very long speeches afterwards. o.O'''

I can't find any official SBS photos for the Drama Awards, so I guess you can go to Dramabeans' blog for them. Click here for the pictures! ^^
